After a brand new total renovation which has just been completed, the for over 60 years family owned Hotel Testa Grigia***, bids a warm welcome to all guests who are looking for simple, quiet and modern accommodation in the heart of Zermatt. Residents are free to come and go as they please in and out of this traditional house. The 33 recently refurbished rooms, mostly with balcony, are as individual as its clients. Besides double and single rooms, also convenient family rooms may be created through connecting doors. The Testa Grigia is an ideal bed and breakfast option for single travellers, couples and families. Zermatt is a car-free resort. Access for private transport is only allowed as far as Täsch (5km from Zermatt). The road from Täsch to Zermatt is not open to public transport. There are open-air public car parks (1,800 spaces) and covered private car parks (1,300 spaces) in Täsch. The covered car parks also have outside parking spaces and operate a taxi service to and from Zermatt. Shuttle trains operated by the BVZ Zermatt Railway also run every 20 minutes.
There is a car park with free parking for 100 cars in Visp (27km from Zermatt) for people travelling by train from here to Zermatt.
