Day 2: First Day on the Slopes at Marmot Basin

Begin your first full day with a hearty breakfast at the lodge before heading to Marmot Basin, just a short drive away. With your 3-day lift ticket in hand, hit the slopes and experience the pristine powder and varied terrain that Marmot Basin is famous for. Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced skier, there’s something for everyone. After a day of exhilarating skiing, return to the lodge to enjoy a cozy dinner, reflecting on the day’s adventures by the warmth of the lodge’s inviting fireplace.

 

 

Spend another thrilling day on the slopes of Marmot Basin, perfecting your skills or simply enjoying the incredible mountain views. As the afternoon approaches, you might opt to take a break from skiing and explore one of Jasper’s natural wonders.

Optional: Add Maligne Canyon Ice Walk The Maligne Canyon Ice Walk offers a unique winter experience, guiding you through frozen waterfalls and ice formations (not included in the package). Afterward, head back to the lodge to relax and recharge for the next day’s activities.

 

Make the most of your final day at Marmot Basin by revisiting your favorite runs or challenging yourself on some of the more advanced slopes. Take in the last of the stunning views and the crisp mountain air as you wrap up your skiing adventure in Jasper. After a relaxing morning at the lodge, it’s time to embark on your transfer from Jasper to Banff. The drive takes you through the Icefields Parkway, one of the most scenic roads in the world, where you’ll pass by towering peaks, sparkling glaciers, and pristine lakes. Upon arrival in Banff, check into the iconic Fairmont Banff Springs, where your Fairmont Room awaits. Spend the evening wandering through this historic hotel, taking in its grandeur and the breathtaking surroundings.

 

Your SkiBig3 adventure begins with a day at Banff Sunshine Village, known for its expansive terrain and reliable snow conditions. Spend the day exploring the wide-open bowls and enjoying the stunning alpine views. Whether you’re carving through fresh powder or taking it easy on the groomed runs, Banff Sunshine Village offers a memorable ski experience. Afterward, return to the Fairmont Banff Springs for a relaxing evening, perhaps indulging in one of the hotel’s fine dining options.

 

 

Today, take the Banff Ski Shuttle to Lake Louise Ski Resort, one of the most beautiful ski destinations in the world. Spend the day navigating its varied terrain, from gentle beginner slopes to challenging advanced runs. The breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and the frozen lake below make this a ski day to remember. In the evening, consider an optional sleigh ride around the iconic Lake Louise, where you can take in the serene winter landscape (not included).

 

 

Head to Mt Norquay, the final stop on your SkiBig3 pass, for a day of skiing closer to Banff. This resort offers something for everyone, from terrain parks to classic alpine runs.
