The highest point of the resort is the Gemsstock peak, which stands at 2,961 meters and offers challenging terrain for advanced skiers and snowboarders. The slopes in Andermatt are generally quiet, making it a great choice for those who want to avoid crowds.

 

The skiing season in Andermatt typically runs from late November to mid-April. The best time to go is during the winter months of January and February when the snow conditions are at their best. It is worth noting that Andermatt can get very busy during peak holiday periods, such as Christmas and New Year, and during school holidays in February. If you prefer a quieter experience, it may be better to visit outside of these times.
